The Junior Consultant will support Job Managers and collaborate with SAIPA trainees and clients to deliver high-quality accounting and tax services. This role requires a solid foundation in financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting systems, along with the ability to train others and adapt to evolving technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Job Managers with execution of accounting tasks
• Liaise with SAIPA trainees and clients to ensure smooth service delivery
• Perform monthly accounting and bookkeeping functions
• Prepare management accounts for internal and client reporting
• Ensure tax compliance using eFiling and relevant tax software for individuals and companies
• Compile financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
• Conduct independent reviews of financial records and statements
• Provide training and support to staff and clients on accounting systems and processes
• Migrate clients from desktop accounting software to cloud-based platforms

Qualifications

• BCom degree with majors in: Accounting, Taxation, Management Accounting
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Minimum 1 year post-articles experience
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Experience conducting independent reviews
